We happen to think/know McClintock cannot win California.

Now you've done it!

It isn't the front-runner who drops from the race. Your wishful thinking doesn't do too well in the real world.

I think by the time the election Mc Clintock will be in the single digits again. Most Republicans want to win this election and realize how important it is to our state, and for the 2004 Presidental election. They will realize that Mc Clintock is not going to win the state and will vote for Arnold. I started out supporting Mc Clintock, but I see now that he doesn't stand a chance of winning.

Yea, it's too bad you cannot vote your preference and if that canidate falls below a percentage thrushold your vote would then be shifted to your second choice.

In other words, I didn't make the system like it is. All I can do is vote for the best canidate and hope for the best.

What your post reminds me of is a car driver honking at me on a bicycle because there is no shoulder on the road to some destination. You might feel better doing so, but I still didn't design the road that badly.

If McClintock can get a groundswell and if Ahnold self distructs, we can have a good result. But as I said, I didn't design the system, so thanks for your imput, and oh yes, if a bicyclist gets in the way of yer car slowing you down, think about if he or she had a choice or not indoing so before you blast the horn. ;-)

Well said. You sound like us when it was Riordon and Jones, then Simon. We felt the same way. We just couldn't stomach Riordon. But look what happened? We cut off our nose despite our own face. So this time, we don't plan on making the same mistake. But in all honesty, we feel Schwarnegger is qualified. He will be a great manager,..and he will not fail.

We like the idea of auditing the state budget, he has the name recognition worldwide to bring tourism to the state (why do people think states spend MILLIONS of dollars to bring the summer and winter olympics to their states?) and he can pull big business to the state with the same recognition. But more so, he understands (as he HAS stated repeatedly) that BIG business has been run off because we have made it UN-AFFORDABLE for them to do business here!! When he travels around the world, and has spoken to business leaders, they have told him this.

The man is extremely intelligent. This has been noticed by people for many years. It is NOT new. He understands quite well, Prop 13. He has stated unequivically he will NOT raise taxes unless there is something unforeseen like terrorism on a grand scale, or a devastating natural disaster that makes it unpreventable. That is so reasonable, and it seems extremely prudent.

I'm impressed. I have no qualms about voting for him. He is going to make an excellent Governor.

What is sickening..is watching other Republicans calling their fellow Republicans names like RINO's, for backing Mr. Schwarnegger. All they are succeeding in doing is the Democrats dirty work.

The man has the backing of some really prominent "conservative" Republicans. They KNOW that this man has what it takes to get elected in a liberal State. The party is big enough to handle people with other views. Mr. Schwarznegger will be the Governor of both Republicans AND Democrats. We want all those people to feel served by him as their Governor. President Bush has done the exact same thing.

This election does matter. We really could end up with Gray Davis again. UNbelievable.

Lets hope McClintock and Uberroth understand that TIME is NOT on our side!!

The Dems figured it out from the get go.... that is why there is only Bustamante on the ticket. IT is either NO to the RECALL.. or Bustamante.

I agree with you LisaAnne. We will vote for Schwarznegger! BTW, everyone we've spoken with in this town, feel the same. So lets hope...

ROME2000 -- APOLOGIZE NOW. You were one of the big anti-McClintock posters on Saturday

Ray Haynes HAS NOT ENDORSED ARNOLD. I called Ray's office today and THEY SAID RAY HAS NOT ENDORSED ARNOLD.

Do you feel bad about spreading false information for Arnold, who is barely a Republican?

You must be off your rocker

I don't even know who the hell Ray Haynes is, and certainly didn't say he endorsed A.S.as I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF RAY HAYNES.

Is this you behind Arnold by chance?
