I hope the Boy Scouts pass a resolution slamming the California State Senate.

The California state Senate has passed a resolution criticizing the Boy Scouts of America for its policy of excluding homosexuals and atheists. California has officially left the United States.

Voters with half a brain would recall these guys on the spot. I mean, their state is going down the tubes, drowning in debt and collapsing from total mismangement, and they have time for this kind of crap, hammering the Boy Scouts?! Why don't they spend their time trying to solve real problems? Oh, but that's too much like work, having to make choices, cut spending, etc. Can't do that. Easier to go after a harmless group that has done nothing but good for its entire existence.

Goldberg's bill passed the state Assembly by a vote of 43-2. Nearly half the 80 members did not vote of abstained on the resolution. The fact that our side would not stand up and be counted is even more shameful.

"I think it's important for the state of California to speak up and not be silent, and to say to the Scouts, if you have a religious belief, that's your belief. But keep it separate from a youth-serving agency that serves kids in all neighborhoods," Goldberg told the paper. And I think it's important for savedbygrace to speak up, and to say to Goldberg, if you have a lesbian belief, that's your belief. But keep it separate from the California legislature that serves citizens in all neighborhoods.

MEMO TO CALIFORNIA SENATE:
Take your "resolution" and stuff it where the sun don't shine.

BSA creed begins as follows: "On my honor, I will do my... duty to God and my country....
The senators in CA would do well to abide by the same creed.

Another reason we need Tom, and not Arnold, to protect God fearing institutions like the Boy Scouts. This election will tell me if we learned anything from 9/11 and the Clinton years.
