Unfortunately when your business is failing, you have to work twice as hard. He's a good father, but I don't think that playing with children is his "thing." He's working at a bank (more stable) now and things are much better. They've recently built a new house and the oldest is entering "mainstream" kindergarten this year. He's smart as a whip, although he still has a few language issues.
It took a lot of work to get out of their financial problems caused by a business partner who bilked them out of a lot of money. They paid it all off without having to declare bankruptcy, but it was touch and go for a while.
Well, God Bless them! This sounds like a true story of overcoming hardship. All the best to them!
