How gay is your car?

A French website dedicated to gay motoring enthusiasts, Clubautorainbow as well as the Daily Telegraph gave the Peugeot 206cc the thumbs up for Gay Car of The Year.

The website says the winning qualities of the 206cc include originality, unconventionality and its design. Then of course there is also the fact that a lot of gay people have bought the little French drop-top.

The runner-up for the website's title was the MINI Cooper and the third prize went to the New Beetle. Other firm favourites in the running were the Smart City Coupé and Mercedes SLK.

Cars that were just "gay enough" were the BMW Z4, Jeep Wrangler, Porsche Boxster and the VW Golf.

Among the "closeted" gay cars were the Audi A3, Chrysler PT Cruiser and Fiat Multipla.

The Daily Telegraph's choice for the top gay car were also the topless Peugeot with the Smart, Mini Cooper, Mercedes SLK and New Beetle short on its heels.

According to the Telegraph heterosexual cars include the Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Enzo and Alfa Romeos. The Renault Scenic and the Citroën C5 are apparently super-straight cars.

Why?

Up here in Maine the four wheel drive Subarus all are followed by rainbows. Many people I know go out of their way to NOT buy a Subaru.

I think I read somewhere that Subaru also advertises heavily in the Homosexual and Lesbian press.

you could say that - i also like certain chryslers (hemis & 440 six packs) & F4's

A local museum here in illinois has the B58 that made the record NY to tokyo run, all the turbines still turn by hand (well, broomstick, if you can reach it by hand you arent human), i have volunteered to fix it up if they get the cash for parts (& let me take the test flight) but they are still waiting on the cash (or maybe they dont want to let it out of the hangar, who knows)

The car reminds her of her old "first car" when she was around 16. She talks about her old car all the time (I think it was a '39? can't remember now...) and really misses it.

She's worked hard all her life, and deserves a "fun car."

(she likes her MB, but she needs a can opener to get in/out of it...the PT might be easier in that regards).

>> You talking about the Lesbaru?

I think Madison & Eugene are sister cities (so to speak), and a lot of wimyn with "that look" drive around in all manner of Subarus (the ones with government jobs have shiny new Outbacks like Martina Whatsername). Around here, those who advertise don't use a rainbow sticker, but one of those "Mean people suck" stickers, or maybe just a pink triangle.

these cars are 'gay', if you know what i mean

If you would allow them to marry, they wouldn't suffer this damage.

I think you should drive your 4WD Suburu til the wheels fall off, just to FRustrate the local lesbians!

You are right about those beer ads -- really disgusting. I'm glad I quit drinking Coors beer 20 years ago!

What idiots. Last year, I'd heard that the Mazda Miata was the #1 "gay" car. I'm straight, and I wouldn't mind having a Miata. Don't these "news" people have anything better to do with their time, than speculate upon what the most "gay" car is? My God. What a bunch of empty wusses.

I think PT Cruisers are great, and I am NOT GAY! Guess I'm just a freak of nature, eh?

But aren't PT Cruisers just Dodge Neons with a fat ass?

I drive a 73 Licoln Continental Mark IV with custom paint and wheels affectionately named the pimp mobile. Nothing like good old fashioned Detroit steel.
