Teriyaki Marinade * 1/2 cup soy sauce1) Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive container.
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1 teaspoon ginger (fresh or powdered)
* 2 teaspoons dry mustard
* 4 cloves garlic, mashed into paste
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
2) Chicken should be marinated for at least half an hour, but no more than six hours.
3) Pork should be marinated between two and four hours.
4) Beef, by contrast, should be marinated overnight.Note: Fish and seafood generally should be marinated anywhere from 20 minutes to one hour.
