The truth is that the Israelis themselves have been so ambivalent about their right to defend themselves and what the true nature of their enemy is that it is hard to expect much better from others.

yeah. it is a big problem, not so dissimilar to what americans face. a liberal/socialist/secular education system has left too many israeli kids not understanding why they are alive and why the arabs must "suffer" for them. liberalism in education (political correctness/moral equivalencies) is poison to a child and deadly to a nationalist understanding, even when the option is surrender to your enemy.
