Well you don't want to necessarily "starve" yourself. Actually it is best to eat moderately leading up to a challenge such as this. I have eaten nearly five pounds of steak at a sitting on occasion and the secret is to cut your steak into small pieces and pace yourself. The rarer the steak, the better.

It is not healthy to force food down when you are not feeling good so do not try it. Better to give up then to throw up.

Pistachios and peanuts are two other food items that I can eat a massive quantity of in one sitting. The key is to pace yourself.
