I wonder who is giving Drudge these stories, why he is carrying them, and who he really supports. (I am not just talking about Arnold...take a look at the body of his work over the last two years.)

You know, some people like to break stories simply because they take pride in getting word out faster.
And besides, beating up on Arnold is beating up on a leftist, so who cares?

I Don't think it's a story that ABC spiked a 20+ year old "he said, "he said", story. Maybe this black guy turned out to be a jealous competitor with no credibility, and an axe to grind.
I don't even think it's a story that Matt revved up the sirens on show day..that's what he does.
The real story here is how minor the Arnold infractions are, how far back Davis' people have to go to find them, and just how desperate is Gray anyway? He's in a "heads he loses, tails he loses" situation...I mean, getting tossed is bad enough, but which will cut him deeper, losing to Bustaman or losing to Arnold? He's dead meat either way.

I wonder who is giving Drudge these stories, why he is carrying them, and who he really supports. After all this time you dont know that Drudge would run an unfavorable story about his own mother which he knew to be untrue if it got him publicity and gave him something to talk about on his Sunday Night show.

Let's be honest. Matt Drudge is not very intelligent. He was smart enough to find a niche for himself and work it to death, but once that niche was established he was not smart enough to act judiciously, thereby selling himself as a man of wit and acumen. Unfortunately, his interviews are dull, his radio program a bore. There is, however, one thing that Drudge is good at. When he doesn't like someone he isn't very good at hiding the fact.

I think Drudge is on Arnold over abortion.
I also think Drudge really wants to bag Arnold on some sexually ambiguous stuff since Drudge is rumoured to have his own dog in that hunt.
..and he sees an opportunity to raise his hits.

wonder who is giving Drudge these stories, why he is carrying them Maybe because the more page views Drudge gets, the more money he rakes in from his advertisers. And scandalous, sensational stuff like this always draws rubberneckers on the Web.
