I'm curious. Do you (people for limits on judgements) have problems with CEO's that make 600 times their average employee? Isn't it 'conservative' thought to get all you can get? If you can get it, you must deserve it?

I have my own thoughts on tort reform and the CEO issue, but I've always wondered how the difference would be explained here at FR. Thanks for the opportunity to find out.

That is an issue for the shareholders of the individual corporations.

I'll explain once you take a high school level Economics course.

And anyway, what does a CEO's salary have to do with an accident lawsuit? IF a CEO makes a lot of money does that somehow justify outrageous settlements in unrelated lawsuits??? I really don't follow, unless you're just trying to agitate.

This is the predictable result when the jury pool consists of people who "were not savvy enough" to "get out" of jury duty.

I find it amusing to hear the screeches and groans from "conservatives" who avoid the very minute civic duties required of members of this society, then B&M that the entire legal system is going downhill.

Are we all supposed to pretend it is unrelated?
