I couldn't begin to tell you what FR has done for me and meant to me. However, a few years ago I wrote an essay titled The Story of a FReeper Chapter that should explain everything.

FR keeps me sane, gave me guts to launch a website, gives me sometimes the only adult conversation I have for days, doesnt ask a lot from me when everything else in my life does, answers my questions, has wonderful techies, allows me to be on the periphery and not be responsible, makes me laugh...and sometimes cry...makes me mad and has made me a more brave and solidified conservative. I actually have been here for years and oddly enough, have not made any relationships with other Freepers although I enjoy them all, except one turkey...but even heaven has clouds... I have a bond with the members of FR. I am really glad it is in my life.
