Taking a firm, clear, vocal, moral stand against these evils is doing more than an "iota." It has enormous power and is where all good and decent men start.
Slavery was considered a done deal and no president before the election of 1860 dared challenge it. Nazi anti-semitism and Jewish purges were tolerated by the entire west until 1939 as an evil beyond its jurisdiction or effective control. The Soviet Empire was declared de facto victor of the Cold War by a series of hapless, spineless presidents until 1980.
Thank God for men such as Lincoln, Churchill, and Reagan, who refused to cower and capitulate to evil that lesser men tolerated as beyond their influence.
You're on the wrong side of courage and history in this matter, CJ.
A few of us will stand strong against evil and steadfastly vote for men who will stand strong against evil though we be the last men standing.
May the rest of you fester and rot in your defeatism.
