Good point. Giuliani sure did damage to the GOP in NY, right? Arnold is very similar to Giuliani in his views.
Another person trying to give us Governor Bustamonte.

Arnold is very similar to Giuliani in his viewsHorse manure. Giuliani was a law and order mayor who cracked down hard on the "anything goes" social liberal mentality that was destroying NYC. Porn freaks, pimps, youth gangs, drug abusers and other fave social liberal victim groups got tough love with a size 12 right upside their permissive posteriors.
Arnie is more akin to the feckless, mewling Bloomberg, who is busy undermining and destroying Giuliani's legacy with gay high schools and other social liberal rot.
Giuliani wasn't perfect, but despite his rhetoric he often did the right thing.

While Giuliani was a good mayor in spite of it all and had a major advantage in his handling of 9/11 and had already smashed the NYC crime rate, he did NOT measurably help the party. There are fewer GOP City Council members and GOP state legislators from the city. As anyone watching Bloomberg can tell you, his policies are to the left of Charlie Rangel. Bloomberg is a lifelong leftist Demonrat and he bought the nomination (the only way RINOs ever win primaries even in NYC) and then he bought the election. If anything, Bloomberg is to the left of even his NYC Demonrat opponent Mark Green.
Again, Giuliani did a fine job as mayor but in NYC, you may remember, Ronaldus Maximus came within 27,000 votes (closer than any GOP presidential candidate since Calvin Coolidge) of carrying NEW YORK CITY against Jimmuh Carter but, of course, RINOs are more attractive candidates. Why? Because they say so, silly!
