Schwarzepubbies are the west coast equivalent of the cheese-eating surrender monkey French. They cheerfully surrender, roll over, and die, because they not only believe but cheerfully accept the "reality" is that they are helpless to bring about any change.

I don't believe they want to bring about change. They're too lazy. Most of them haven't even bothered to familiarize themselves with the issues and the candidates' relative positions on those issues.

Thus they ensure a perfect fulfillment of their anti-Reagan defeatist philosophy.

No painting with a broad brush, please. I'm not lazy, I want change, and I'm not a RINO. I'm also a realist. More crossover votes would go to Arnold than would ever go to McClintock, meaning Arnold could win but McClintock couldn't. McClintock is out of power now in a Dem-controlled state. If Arnold wins, McClintock will have influence on the governor which he does not, not, not have now under Davis. He won't have power under Bustamante either. He's preaching to the choir now on talk radio, where I've enjoyed him on KFI in LA, and he's absolutely right in his opinions. However, if he stays in the race as a spoiler and doesn't realize when the numbers are against him in a few weeks, my high taxes and continued ruin of California will be partialy due to him.

You McClintiacs are all alike. Always talking like this is Star Wars, and you are going to "sand against the dark side" or some such garbage.

Here's the truth: THIS ISN'T A MOVIE. McClintock CAN NOT WIN. He 'may' have been able to win in a normal election with a primary, although I sincerely doubt he would amount to much more then Simon did, but without one, HE CANNOT WIN.

Schwartzenegger can. He is your standard Pro-Choice republican, who would oppose partial birth abortion. On every other issue, gay rights, etc. It is the same, he is FAR more conservative then Danny DeVito and Grayout. You will not only hurt yourself on economic issues, DeVito actually PROMISES to raise taxes, but you will also hurt yourself on social issues as well, where you would have someone that agreed with you 20-30% of the time, as opposed to 0% of the time.

My favorite politician said, repeatedly, "A man who agrees with me 70% of the time is not my enemy."
