Hillary and Dean each trying to go further to the Left. There's an image for 2004.

No way can/will Dean beat PIAPS for the nomination. I, however, do not believe she will run next year. She is the probable Democratic nominee in 2008... and she faces the possibility of political obliteration if she runs in 2004.

Dean is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame too much to step aside for the Hildabeest.
He is the Democrat version of John McCain: the rush of his temporary popularity has gone to his head, and his staffers'.
I also doubt that her fellow Senators will gladly suffer her nostrums on the campaign trail, especially since they've been in office far longer than she has.
Any more doubting Thomases out there, re: why does George Bush 'need' to raise $200 million for the primary season? He knew all along that Hillary! would run in 2004, and Dubya knows you don't come to a gunfight with a couple of Ginzo knives!

If I knew either of those would work, there'd be a run at the stores on silver-tipped hunting arrows...

Dean's wife should up his life insurance policy. The beast will stop at nothing. Just ask Vince Foster.

Nope, but the shine is definitely wearing off the apple. If Rudy were to run against her in '06 she'd be toast.

[ Her rethink has been prompted by the sudden drop in support for President George Bush, whose problems in Iraq and with the economy have made him look vulnerable, according to veteran US political commentator Richard Reeves.
...
However, polls indicate that Mrs Clinton would get between 37% and 48% support from the Democratic party nationally, compared to highs of between 15% and 20% for her rivals, who also include Senator John Kerry and former Vice-presidential candidate Joe Lieberman. ]
What sudden drop in support for Bush? Although I won't deny his vulnerability on the economy.

And Im sure he misses the White House hot tub that the Toon had specially built for his 'needs'!
