From the Field Poll of 8/20/3...

Favor- 46%

Oppose- 35%

Undecided- 19%

Remember, it is the Field Poll. The numbers are probably more like 55-30 for.

Yes. From WSJonline, paraphrased: A recent nonpartisan Field Poll shows California voters supporting Prop. 54 by 50% to 29%, "though it is hard to know how its presence on the Gray Davis recall ballot will affect it. Mr. Davis opposes it, and people who think he's been a splendid governor tend to be Prop. 54's strongest opponents".

Prop 54 experienced a recent dip, and then rose again. However, the same phenomena continues to happen as happened during 209 -- Every time Jesse Jackson opens his mouth, or the opposition gets grotty -- the stats in favor of the initiative rise.

OTOH, special interest groups have also been doing some polling data. I've also posted a link to The CA Wellness Foundation at:
