A controversy at a California country club had Kentucky Attorney General Ben Chandler's campaign for governor playing defense on several fronts yesterday.
Chandler had planned a fund-raising reception at the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles this evening, but the event was moved to a restaurant where a trial lawyer also is sponsoring a fund-raising luncheon for the Democratic candidate.
