However, since a fair number of people in this country (mostly of the democrat persuasion) seem to have forgotten that this little incident (in which 3000 innocent people were killed) ever happened, I think it not a bad thing to force the public to remember.

Quite right. However, since the major media normally does nothing to remind folks about the seriousness of the war on terror, this will do so.

Out east, especially in the New York area, you are reminded of this every time you see a shot of Ground Zero, plus I am sure there are local stories that never get national coverage.

Here in the Midwest it is rarely mentioned. The media no doubt is covering this for the sensationalism, but an unintended good can come of it, in that people will be reminded WHY we don't want to fight the war on terror on our home soil.

A wife of one of the police officers killed was on the Today show this a.m. She is upset that the transcripts have been released.

I am sorry for their loss.

But we need to be reminded of this every day until the rat excrement that did this is destroyed.
