"Actually, the moral of the story is to use some common sense."
IMO, this article is an indication of how some people depend on government when they should be depending on their own judgment.

9/11 changed our perspectives on many things. It is easy to say now that people should have evacuated WTC. It is easy to say now that people should have fought the hijackers on the plane. Hindsight is 20/20.
It is easy now for the dims to say the President should have prevented this. Yet, how many dims are fighting him every day too make it harder to prevent the NEXT 9/11? This administration keeps telling us there will be one. What are we doing to prevent it? - and I don't mean depending on the government AT ANY LEVEL.

The critical question in all this is who expected the buildings to collapse. At the time the only precedent anyone had was the plane that had accidently crashed into the Empire State decades before. If the buildings had stood the casualty list would have been much much less. I suppose once the first had fallen those in the second still standing would have had an idea but how many escaped between the two collapses from that realization?

None of these people knew that another plane was going to hit. None of these people knew that the towers were going to collapse. Most of them probably weren't aware that it was an airplane that had hit, unless they had actually seen one or both of them hit.
The dispatchers and the PA police, and the firefighters and everybody didn't have a clue as to what was going to happen. While it's tragic, that people in the 2nd tower were told to stay put after the first plane hit, at the time it was happening, nobody would have dreamed that another plane was going to hit the other tower, so it's not like we can blame the PA for telling them to stay put. They didn't have the advantage of hindsight that we have.

I sure hope that this brings back to the forefront of Bill Clinton's empty head, about how he refused to do anything about Terrorism in America. It actually is my fervent wish that he sleeps horribly for the rest of his "existing" days. Unfortunately,I understand that Sociopaths sleep well and I'll never forget that He was in Australia and algore was somewhere in Europe when this Terrorist Act occurred.I still find that rather uncanny.
