He's counting on the unions and Dem robot nuts to vote for him anyway. I don't think they will.

It's hard to break a racist of his racist notions.

I believe the LA Times poll had put support for the recall by union households at 44%.. So if he's counting on unions, he's got a long way to go.

Nope. They won't.
Furthermore, this is a testing ground for 2004.
Immigration is a hot button issue.

Maybe Trent Lott can arrange an apology interview on Univision for Bustamante.

There is no doubt that this doesn't matter a lick to his constituency. Anyone who thinks that it does is mistaken.

"What is a moderate member of a racist organization? 'I was a moderate member of the Klan.' Imagine if a Republican made that statement," Elder said. That says it all, and you were spot-on to put it in bold print. When my wife heard Elder say this on special Report last night, she said, "Moderate member of the Klan? Like say, Robert Byrd?"
Heh-heh. I love that woman.

Specifically MEChA is anti-Semitic and anti black. Especially anti-Semitic. It is all on their website. Feinstein knows.

Bustamante, who is running to be governor of California, praised the Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan, or MEChA (search), and said he still supports it...
MEChA has used violence in the past to make its case. At a July 4 celebration in 1996, members of the group, who call themselves Mechistas, were videotaped attacking black and white Americans protesting illegal immigration. In 1993, students at UCLA caused $500,000 worth of damage during protests to demand a Chicano studies department. MEChA has also been associated with anti-Semitic groups like Nation of Aztlan.
MEChA's motto is "for the race, everything. For those outside the race, nothing."
Says it all doesn't it?
The silence in most of the prominant press, on Capitol Hill (particularly amongst certain segments) is DEAFENING!
What a bunch of hypocrits. Their anti-American agenda is so obvious, it is not even barely veiled.
I pray Californians will turn out in record numbers...particularly the LEGAL Latinos who love this country, and turn this guy out in a landside for McClintock, the only what I would call real American in the race. Please read his Interview HERE.
Joanie, Dukie, Travis and any other readers of my book series, this guy would have been a great fit into the plot for the Aztlan terrorists we contend with during the war.

He's not fit to run or hold elected office.I think its a shame this country allows people like that to even RUN for office.
To: Cinnamon Girl
Gee. . . I'm really surprised. . . not.
Anyways I can't wait to read this in the LA Times. . .
Or Perhaps they'll make a big issue out of it in the other major new stations. . .
I can dream can't I???

Boy, is this guy stupid or what?
He can really write off the white and jewish vote, there goes the black vote too. This is going to cause a huge shift to a YES vote on recall and a YES vote on anybody but Bustabudget. This guy is dead Cabrito (sp) on a stick. Bubbye Bustie, I'll see you in the funny papers.

His support of MEChA is consistent with his association with the Democratic Party, which is, by far, the most intolerant, racist, anti-American and hateful political party to hold seats in Congress today.
Bustamente is correct to assert that there is no incompatibility between his support for a racist, anti-American political group and his support for MEChA.

So Boost-a-vato won't denounce the Tan Klan, huh? If this moron gets elected, anyone left in California who isn't a member of the Brown Berets or the 18th Street Gang ought to plan on leaving on very short notice.

El Plan de Aztlan is the plan of liberation! (from
MEChA Berkeley website)
In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlán from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny.
We are free and sovereign to determine those tasks which are justly called for by our house, our land, the sweat of our brows, and by our hearts. Aztlán belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.
Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come and who struggles against the foreigner "gabacho" who exploits our riches and destroys our culture. With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlán.
Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.
For the Race, all. Outside the Race, nothing.
