And where did you get that strange definition? Busto does mean "bust" and monte means "mountain" His name is spelled Bustamante, not Bustamonte. So you are saying that his name means "mountainous" bust? In Mexico, a big bust in the colloquial street language would be "chiches." Bustamante is nothing more than a common family surname no meaning attached.

Gee. . . I'm really surprised. . . not.
Anyways I can't wait to read this in the LA Times. . .
Or Perhaps they'll make a big issue out of it in the other major new stations. . .

Boy, is this guy stupid or what?
He can really write off the white and jewish vote, there goes the black vote too. This is going to cause a huge shift to a YES vote on recall and a YES vote on anybody but Bustabudget. This guy is dead Cabrito (sp) on a stick. Bubbye Bustie, I'll see you in the funny papers.

There is no doubt that this doesn't matter a lick to his constituency. Anyone who thinks that it does is mistaken. Mexicans and Blacks don't get along too well. Think this might sit well with the Compton and Oakland crowd?

Which office did he run for last year and lose??? Help refresh my memory. Following your logic, since Davis won in the same election, he can't lose the recall, and will remain governor.

No problem Doughty...my post was not meant to indicate anything to the contrary...just flagging you.
I pray McClintock's numbers come up and hope this revelation regarding the Lt. Governor and getting it out to the public help makes that happen.
Fregards.

His support of MEChA is consistent with his association with the Democratic Party, which is, by far, the most intolerant, racist, anti-American and hateful political party to hold seats in Congress today.
Bustamente is correct to assert that there is no incompatibility between his support for a racist, anti-American political group and his support for MEChA.

You have a strange perception of logic.
Let me help you out.
Davis ran in 2002 - Davis campaigned against Riordan during the GOP Primaries portraying Riordan as a "RINO" - Davis knew he couldn't beat Riordan, but he knew that he could beat a "true non RINO" like Simon. - Davis won in 2002. - McClintock lost his bid for state controller a much lower and less important office.
The recall is percieved as a Republican forced initiative. If it fails, then Republicans will be blamed for wasting tax-payer money during a budget crisis only to switchout one Democrat with another or only to maintain the Democrat that currently in office.
Taking the governors office now will place the DNC on the defensive to insure that they can mantain control of California's electoral votes in 2004. Costing them 10's of millions of dollars that could be spent campaigning in other states, just to hold on to California's electoral votes.
McClintock is an impractical pipe dream. Schwarzenegger is a practicality. Be practical.

This is going to cause a huge shift to a YES vote on recall and a YES vote on anybody but Bustabudget. Exactly right. Bustamove vs. McClintock, McClintock wins.
It's about time the other side (for a change) gets to "hold their nose" and vote .

So Boost-a-vato won't denounce the Tan Klan, huh? If this moron gets elected, anyone left in California who isn't a member of the Brown Berets or the 18th Street Gang ought to plan on leaving on very short notice.
