The only reason I can see for people's opposition is that the Ten Commandments, while universal in their acceptance..... I would say that the first 4 are definitely not universally accepted. And violating #10 is the basis of capitalism.

Covetousness is the basis of capitalism? Maybe in a perverse society. I thought providing a product or service that appealed to people's self-interest (in a good sense) and overall good were the basis of capitalism.
