VANCE, Ala. -- Two billboards along Interstate 20-59 stand on the steep hillside across from the exit to Mercedes Drive. The first touts the 10-year relationship between the luxury German brand and this Deep South state. Good luck to Bama on keeping the goon squad dems from Detroit away. Ever been to Highland Park, Willow Run, Detroit, Flint, or Pontiac?

Gotta love the swipes that the writer took at Alabama, eh? "Naw, don't worry, the UAW will send some folks down from Detroit and have those slack-jawed yokels steppin' and fetchin' in no time!"
Given the choice between living in Detroit and living in Alabama, I sure know which one I'd pick. And it ain't Detroit.

The Free Press is Detroit's liberal paper.(The Det News is somewhat 'conservative')
I'd like to find that thread about UAW pushing for abortion coverage.
It's causing a stir up here(Michigan is heavily Catholic - and is majority pro-life) and I'm sure it will cause the same stir if not more down in Bama.
