What made me think that Greer is a "Republican" of some kind is that he is a close friend of the Pinellas Co. sheriff. Most partisan Democrats like to associate with other Democrats, and certainly not a Republican sheriff. His outburst against Jeb, however, lends one to think (as I did at first) that he is a liberal Democrat in the Bob Graham (or perhaps Howard Dean) mold.

The fact that Jeb won't remove this "judge" for obvious bias causes me to question Jeb's intentions. Doesn't he have the power to suspend this judge?

This whole think could blow up politically in Jeb's face, but I am sure he expects it to all be over by Halloween!

Goodness no, governors don't have that power. The constitution is pretty clear about the separation of powers (for better or worse.)
