I find it exceedingly strange that you are so thick-headed. Tell us, Brandon, exactly why do you think Terri was moved from a nursing home facility to a hospice facility. People go to a hospice where they are expected to die. But Terri hasn't...she has clung to life...eeked it out day after languishing day for YEARS! Why is it taking so long for Terri to die? The answer: because she is not in a persistant vegitative state, as they are diagnosing her!! She is being mis-diagnosed!!! She is a brain-damaged person, who, whether or not she ever regains anything other abilities, has the right to stay alive, as long as she is treated with appropriate medical treatment. Her husband disallows anything of the sort!!
Open your eyes, Brandon!!

BTW- here are some interesting entries in the dictionary for the definition of "peristent": "continuing to exist in spite of interference or treatment"(or lack thereof); "existing for a long or longer than usual time or continuously"; "retained beyond the usual period"; "degraded only slowly by the environment" (or by hubby?) I don't know about the rest of you, but I find these entries very revealing in Terri's situation. I can only imagine Michael's wondering, "Why won't Terri die? I've done everything I could to get her out of my life!"
