It would have been impossible to hold an emergency hearing at the Federal level on a holiday weekend. All the parties have to agree to the time and date of the hearing, whether it's an emergency or not. For one thing, the Federal Courthouse is closed on Sat. and Sunday and it's a big fancy, schmancy courthouse with metal detectors, lots of staff and security. (I used to work on Federal Court Trials.)

Yes, I can see why they couldn't hold the hearing till Tuesday. I just would have thought there could have been some sort of emergency order to allow her treatment until that time. Being a life or death situation. I'm just so afraid she won't make it till Tuesday without medical intervention. I KNOW she won't get it at the hospice.
