This is absolutely sick. How is it that these affidavits count for nothing in court?

Well, we can't say that yet -- technically, at least -- since they were only filed yesterday.

However, the fact that the clinton appointee judge did not issue a TRO as requested, which would have meant Terri would have gotten the immediate medical treatment she so desperately needs, choosing rather to wait several days for an "emergency" hearing, does not leave me very optimistic.

My main hope is that the family will be able to immediately (as in "that same day") move it to the next level of appeal and get some judge with an ounce of human compassion to issue an immediate TRO.

In all fairness to the FEDERAL Judge, these affidavits were filed Saturday and are new to the "case"...to the best of my knowledge.
