It looks as though that is the case. I don't think I'll sleep much tonight. God has laid this soooooo heavily on my heart.

And GET THIS...from http://www.hospicepatients.org/Terri-Schiavo-10-12-02-press-rel.html

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - October 15, 2002 - Terri Schiavo currently is being held in a Pinellas County Florida hospice that is

not licensed to provide care for the chronically ill.

Terri Schiavo is a non-terminal disabled patient with brain damage. Terri's own treating physician, Dr. Vincent Gambone, testified before the court, saying "her condition is one that there is no recovery. The damage that is done to the brain is not repairable."1 However, the chronically disabled are by definition not going to recover completely. These are not terminal patients, and the disabled can live many years so long as they are not intentionally killed.

Terrorizing the Disabled in America The practice of enrolling chronically disabled patients into hospice endangers all disabled citizens of the United States and directly violates their Constitutional rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

They're not even licensed to take care of her!!!!!!!!

I've had sleepless nights over this. Tonight I'm going to try to sleep but I'm so mad right now and also I feel very anxious.

What about the Americans with Disabilities Act, signed by the first George Bush in 1990? Is there no application of the law here? Maybe the Bush brothers would intervene if their father's law was being violated?

This looks like a closed matter for all practical purposes. Poor Terri is not "politically correct." She has no powerful people pulling for her. Even her pope to my understanding has been silent. She errred in choosing a husband, and she has paid a price for that foolish error for the past 13 years. There's not a feminist around who has voiced a whimper about his injustice. So much for disliking men deciding the fate of women!

Hospice is FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL. My dad's doctor signed him up and he passed ten months later. WHO'S GOING TO ALERT THE MEDIA WHOM WE'VE ALREADY TALKED TO? THEIR LINKS ARE ON THIS THREAD. How about Jeff Johnson from CNS. I'm at my mom's today and can't freep here.

I think we've uncovered a relationship of the husband, the Judges, the Hospice which is not in Terri's best interest. I've been saying the husband should have kept her in a NURSING HOME but as soon as J. Greer sided with him, even though there are appeals, etc., he shipped her to a HOSPICE FACILITY for the terminally ill. How does hubby know that this case is always going to go his way? That was a confident move to ship Terri to a hospice facility. They are in the business of letting people go. I don't think Terri's ready to go but she can't speak for herself!!!

Thanks for uncovering they're not licensed for chronically ill. It means they have warehoused Terri even though there is an appeal at the 2nd dca. Husband and Judge are smooth operators. FV

Once someone begins administering morphine drops, there's no way for the disabled person to raise any objections. Hospice has its purpose in society when the patient is truly terminal but in this case, I think they've crossed the line. My dad was classified as terminal for ten months but they didn't administer morphine drops until the end.

Terri is not near the end until they stop feeding her and giving her water. She will become "terminal" only because of hubby's lawyer, the judge, hospice, the 2nd DCA and anyone else who is forgetting that Terri and her parents have rights!!! They are merely guessing re: Terri's wishes.

Not even licensed to care for patients like Terri? Well this smells worse and worse...

Kimmie, this kind of injustice(nightmare, horror story) weighs heavily on many people's hearts. You're doing a good job :)
