Kasich's parents were killed (I believe instantly) in an auto accident shortly before he entered Congress, as I vaguely recall. I suspect that he has no interest in defending the rights of the terminally ill, as he has not had someone lying around for years in such a state of being. So many journalist will cover only what interests them or what enhances their political philosophy.
