Did I see on a post that Michael Schiavo will collect $9 million or $7 million when the feeding tube is pulled? Earlier, I had thought that he was in line for $750,000. From where are the extra millions coming?

Can someone post a picture of Michael Schiavo on the forum?

I haven't seen those numbers. $750,000 is the one usually mentioned. It's hard to believe those millions - no insurance company would sell a life policy under the conditions since the (accident, assault, incident, whatever).

And I doubt one would have been sold in those amounts even when she was healthy. Benefits out of proportion to the financial situation of the insured are an invitation to fraud or murder. For example, my policy is for $250,000 - roughly the cost of investments that would provide income to pay for housekeeping, education, child care, etc., until my children are grown. I doubt an insurer would write me an individual policy even for $1,000,000 - although you can sometimes get larger policies with employers' group coverage. Companies don't want their insureds to be worth more dead than alive!

His picture's been with some of the articles ... ugly mug!
