Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- The tenuous and stressful situation in the Terri Schiavo case may be getting the best of Michael Schiavo.
In reacting to a letter written by Florida Governor Jeb Bush (R) in an effort to appoint an independent guardian for Terri, Michael lambasted Bush for playing politics with Terri's life.
"The governor has deliberately twisted the facts in this case in an apparent effort to kowtow to his 'right-to-life' political supporters,'' Michael Schiavo told the Tampa Tribune. "This has nothing to do with him. He should stay out of it.''
However, the verbal tirade didn't end there.
Michael also accused Terri's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, of engaging in religious hypocrisy and using religion to raise money.
"Suddenly, they are on the religious kick. They never went to church a day in their lives,'' Michael said. "I believe in God and so did Terri, but they are out to push it on people.''
Michael says the Schindlers orchestrated a campaign to send e-mail to the governor through a Web site that also raises money from right-to-life supporters. He accused the Schindlers of using his wife's Catholic faith to their own ends.
Bob Schindler says their Catholic beliefs and long-standing. He said Michael is forgetting he and his wife sent Terri and her siblings to Catholic schools and that the Schiavo's wedding was performed by a priest.
"It [Michael Schiavo's comment] is really upsetting to my wife because she is a better Catholic than I am,'' he said.
The Web site has drawn a good response, Schindler said. Any donations it generates are going to family attorney Pat Anderson, who had been working for free.
Father Frank Pavone, the director of Priests for Life, told LifeNews.com that the values needed to address Terri's case properly have already been "pushed" on people.
"Catholic Faith in this case requires understanding that this case is about more than Catholic Faith," Pavone explained.
"It's about the dominion of God over our lives, our laws, our courts, our attorneys, and our judges. If Michael Schiavo is worried that some people are trying to impose God's authority on the situation, I have news for him: It's already imposed."

And my comment: Why aren't the Bishops calling on people to ACT? (Admittedly, you don't want to start a major physical resistance until it's necessary and useful, which would be when the actual execution starts) but still ... this is why 6 million Jews and others died in the Holocaust, because everyone just followed the *law*. What does it take for people to realize the authorities would have THEM killed, too, just as easily?

My email to the 2nd DCA. Everyone can email the 2nd cda and ask that their email be placed in the Amicus Brief's file supporting their position. I am playing hard ball today.
To 2nd DCA: Please place this in the file of the Amicus Brief by Ms. Andersen supporting the parties that she represents in it.
I am pleased that Ms. Andersen has filed an Amicus Brief on behalf of Terri Schiavo-Schindler and her loving parents.
There is so much reasonable doubt in this matter but one thing is certain. Terri Schiavo-Schindler is a disabled woman who is an inconvenience to her husband who has a live-in girlfrield and a child. We must have a higher standard than that before we start offing the vulnerable. We have higher standards for death row inmates.
I am for Governor Bush's suggestion that Terri be put under the control of a guardian ad litem, an independent party who will not SHOW THE BIAS THAT JUDGE GREER has engaged in.
There is arising a belief that Michael Schiavo may have been responsible in the first place for battering his wife. If he harmed her which may have led to her present physical condition, he would have the court order her starvation than be facing a possible charge of attempted murder, domestic violence or manslaughter. Getting a court order to have Terri killed would only erase Terri. It wouldn't erase growing concerns that husband Michael Schiavo was a wife batterer and should be held accountable for that. If Terri is a burden to him, to you and to Judge Greer, BURDEN is a subjective term. Surely, Terri would never be a burden to her parents but they haven't been given a chance in the kangaroo court.
The local and national news media is covering this story and they're just begining. The spotlight is on all of the good old boys and activist judges together who are on the same page as Judge Greer. He blames you but you were only agreeing with his lame order. I blame all of you.
You aren't facing starving in a matter of weeks but Terri is. What kind of society starves a human being to death who hasn't been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that she's in a vegetative state? We have seen the videotapes and if I was as responsive as she still is, I would not anyone starving me to death. If she experiences "life" on a level science has yet to understand, we don't have a right to kill her. She can see and she can breathe. Are you going to pull Christopher Reeve's life support next? No, and why not? Because he's a celebrity. Terri is becoming a celebrity in her own right. She deserves proper medical care and loving parents. She does not deserve a death sentence.
Err on Terri's side, not on the husband's side. If we err on the husband's side, Terri dies. Please tell the 2nd DCA that they are all spineless and uncaring jurists in cahootz with the spineless J. Greer. How dare you find against the vulnerable? You are violating the Constitution and numerous of God's laws. Why isn't TERRI SCHIAVO guaranteed life and liberty? You have no answer because you are making up the rule of law as you go along.
PLEASE PUT THIS IN THE AMICUS BRIEF FILE RE: TERRI SCHIAVO as evidence of what I view as misconduct by Florida's Circuit Civil and 2nd DCA for bias and finding against a disabled woman. This is my opinion but it is shared by many Floridians.
