The disabled fall under the Civil Rights Act as a minority. They can't be discriminated against in housing or employment or probably by being starved to death but I keep forgetting that this is Florida.
I'm still here and I'm still praying. I ask everyone to stick together. I ask everyone to stop picking fights and insulting each other. Fregards, FV

Was it Greer who set the tube-removal dates previously, or another of the illustrious Pinellas Co. judges?Good question. I don't know the answer.

Thank you Peg. In the Orthodox church we believe that despair is the delight of the evil one's demons. I refuse to allow them to cause me to stumble.

I pray the Lord continually strengthens you for this work, MarMema ~ this is spiritual warfare and it is horrific beyond comprehension ...

This excerpt is from the famous TBO poll site news report. You all know where to find the link.... and they continue to run that poll! So if you are so inclined, keep voting.
"Bob Schindler said he fully expected Greer to deny he and his wife's request for a chance to try spoon feeding. He said it was a foregone conclusion that Greer would order the feeding tube removed.
``We don't expect anything from him. I'm not a bit disappointed or surprised,'' Schindler said.
The Schindlers have until Sept. 22 to file an amended lawsuit in federal court aimed at keeping their daughter alive.

It looks like cns, hannity, et al's email is swamped. I'll try again tomorrow. BTTT.

A Dean presidency would pretty much be the end of the GOP.

Well, I don't think constituents-floridians could be considered as typing up their phone lines. The phones are there so we can talk to our representatives. Calls are welcome whether it's support for Terri, factual or talking points.
I know I can't email the media this evening. Hopefully, they're getting swamped.

You write the most beautiful prayers. When I am at a loss for words, as now, you always come through.
Praying for Terri and her family, and thanks so much for your help in this. Sometimes I just run out of the words. This is all so overwhelming to me. I just cannot believe this is happening in America. Every day it hits me all over again, and I think, this just cannot be happening here. It just can't. But it is. I just can't see how we have come to this. And it has all happened so fast. Until the past few weeks, I would have never believed I would see this kind of thing in my lifetime. I had no idea.
To: windchime
It's a stretch but "what if" that's him? I think campaign contributions are listed on the internet. I've seen them before. I just learned today that Dean is pro-euthenasia. sp? Anyone thinking about Pres. Dean better think long and hard about The First Death President.
My problem today is that I have a flea epidemic in my office and I must do some pest control and get off the internet. It's hard to type when little critters are biting my feet. It happens here. I have to vacuum more, and post less.
To: floriduh voter
Should not a Judge have a conscience? Never mind, I forgot that this is Florida, the Death State. Boomers and seniors, come one and all. No living will required. We'll just divine your last wishes for ye.You certainly hit the nail on the head there. Unfortunately.
To: windchime
Actually, I would think that all TEN of the Democrat presidential contenders are euthanasia advocates. This issue is not usually asked about in the political roundtables. Demoralized conservatives won't vote Democrat, but they may be too demoralized to go to the polls in 2004.
To: floriduh voter
But the governor says he can't intervene at the last minute like he could if she were a convict being given a lethal injection. Her only crime is to choose a wrong spouse, as we have said ad nauseum.
To: MagnoliaMS
Despair not at the lack of words over this, Magnolia ... God clearly knows the depth of your sorrow and grief, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, this agony, itself, becomes prayer ~ each tear is stored in a bottle ..."Thou hast kept count of my tossings; put thou my tears in thy bottle! Are they not in thy book?" Psalm 56:8 ~ What is stored up will surely be poured out ... may it be a shower of blessing for Terri ...
