I think the future is
this.
Quite a few hospitals have these policies in place already. I have been putting together a euthanasia ping list but the hospitals are ahead of us all. Soon it will all be moot because the hospital itself will eliminate these kinds of court battles by simply making it policy to "not treat" under certain conditions.

I have been finding Matthew 10 to be inspirational.

I have read of healthcare workers who quit, took our newspaper ads, and got very involved with some cases.
It occurred to me that moving Terri to a hospice was somewhat about having her in a place where death is expected by the staff and considered a relief.

If only the good guys would wear white hats and the bad guys wear black. I'd be able to tell them apart more easily. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Larry Crow is in my view another 'Johnny-come-lately' attempting to wash the indelible stain of passivity from his hands. And that's a very positive sign. I must say, I wondered at his name on the Motion. Did he "suddenly" become co-counsel, or has he been in on this throughout? Definitely questions that need to be answered.
I must say, your ponderings are logical. If we could only hope that it spells the beginning of justice for Terri. We can pray even harder, and keep the pressure on.
Great post. Thanks Robert.

I have to say here that I truly believe that Jeb is working swiftly and silently. I hope that in my heart of hearts. Remember, he and W are of the same cloth. And W is very good at popping in after having worked behind the scenes. He's not "not doing anything", rather he's just not doing it in the spotlight -- biding his time. Please, Jeb, be doing that...

Good point. You're so right! They've been numbed to cries of pain, calls for help. DNR orders abound. Ohhh, very good point.

God, please let this be so.
Interesting...maybe someone with some free time might explore where this went?:

UK BILL TO BAN EUTHANASIA BY STARVATION AND DEHYDRATION MOVING IN HOUSE
LONDON, March 14, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) has reported that the upper house of the UK's parliament has approved the first stage of a bill to ban euthanasia by starvation and dehydration. The Patients' Protection Bill, tabled by veteran pro-life campaigner Baroness Knight of Collingtree, was given a second reading in the House of Lords Wednesday and sent without a vote to a committee for further consideration.
The bill has received support from across the political spectrum, says SPUC. Lord Howe, the Conservative health spokesman, said: "[T]he volume of letters and e-mails that I have received on the subject testifies to the widespread concern that exists among the public about the treatment of terminally ill and frail elderly people in our hospitals." Lord Carlile, a medical lawyer and Liberal Democrat peer, said: "What cannot be acceptable is the deliberate withdrawal of the very basis of human life - food and water, nutrition and hydration."

Or just conditioned to the idea that death is a release, the true path, so to speak.
Not only that but if the good doctor from Minnesota is involved, he has some say over the staffing.

Sorry I couldn't ping everyone. Here's a short recap on what Glenn said:
He talked about the father's suspicions of abuse. The bone scan, the money, quoted the nurse about his comments (when is this b#%^&! gonna die). Talked about her not receiving even basic care. Talked about Bush's letter after the 27,000 e-mails he received and Greer's basically telling him he's not going to appoint a GAL. He also said everyone who is trying to kill Terri is going to have their feet held to the fire, in this plane and the next. Glenn said he can't do anything about the next plane, but he sure plans to give them h#%% on this one. Look for more from him in the next few days. His website is
http://www.glennbeck.com/home.shtml HE WAS GREAT!!!

Thanks! You answered while I was typing!

See my post 2276. He said we will be hearing more from him in the next couple of days. I'm going to see if he's updated his website with more info on her.

I'm soooooooo Glenn brought Terri up. I was listening earlier and it was Iraq, etc. Glad for the recap. They certainly will have a price to pay - those who would have her life taken and those who stood by like sheeple and did nothing.
Who's Larry Crow and how'd he end up on Terri's thread? Anybody, please advise. Short is fine.
