I'm kind of shocked that someone would post something nasty on this thread. I'm really surprised that it was that particular poster.

Found the connection between George Felos and Project on Death in America (George Soros). Am posting what's available so far until further research can be done (my pages are suddenly unavailable).
How did this situation arise? Hospice chairman of the board at the time, George Felos, is the attorney representing Michael Schiavo's efforts to kill Terri. When Michael Schiavo contacted Felos, George had just the place to kill Terri: his very own hospice! So, he stepped down from the board, temporarily of course, until the legal battle to kill Terri is over. After the legal battle, we're sure good old right-to-kill-patients-advocate George will be right back on the board. George (Felos) is a student of Ira Byock, MD (a well known hospice physician) who advocates adding "aid in dying" (through terminal sedation) to the mix of "services" provided by hospices.
Dr. Ira Byock, long time palliative care physician and advocate for improved end-of-life care, and a past president of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, provides written resources and referrals to organizations, web sites and books to empower persons with life threatening illness and their families to live fully.
Project on Death in America and Ira Byock- Profiles of PDIA-Funded Researchers and Projects
Exerpt: (located below midpage)
Ira Byock, M.D.
Barbara K. Spring, M.D.
As a hospice physician and medical director, Dr. Ira Byock is only too aware of the difference between a "good" death and a "bad" death, and the fact that the latter far outnumber the former. But instead of working only with the medical profession to reverse this equation, he and gerontologist Dr. Barbara K. Spring set out to engage an entire Montana town in examining the dying process and making it better. The Missoula Demonstration Project: The Quality of Life's End is the most ambitious effort of its kind in the United States. Modeled after a famous long-term heart disease study which collected data on an entire community, the 15-year Missoula Demonstration Project aims not only to improve the quality of life's end in Missoula, but to stimulate other efforts throughout the country. Organized in 1996, and overseen by an international advisory committee, the project is engaged in several studies to understand people's experiences, attitudes, values, customs and concerns about death. By looking at 250 families which experienced a death within a one-year period, for instance, and by gathering data in all health-care settings that treat or care for dying people, researchers hope to create, as Byock puts it, an "intensive, high-definition picture of dying, death and bereavement in Missoula." "Our approach," says Barbara Spring, "is to focus on what people seem to worry about the most-pain, the length of the dying process, isolation, and other things that make them miserable."

Congressman Michael Bilirakis
I do recall that this congressman was a staunch conservative and no RINO at all. I don't think he is still in Congress, is he?
To: Congressman Billybob
I don't see how the case with your mother is at all like Terri's. This is a case of the liberal state starving a person to death. Starvation was never an option with your mother, I am sure, even had she lived more than five days in her condition. Shutting off a breathing machine of a terminally ill patient is one thing, but removing a feeding tube is active murder in my book. I do not see the two events in the same light, as many liberals do. In fact, I do not see her as terminally ill, were she to have proper treatment.
Imagine the turmoil her parents have been through for so long.

Most liberal judges decide a case on the basis of THEIR preferred outcome. If a lawyer presents the case in a poor fashion, but the judge agrees with the erring lawyer, he will still side with the lawyer because he has predetermined how he thinks the case should end. In that this is a Chile-Clinton type judge, I would expect nothing positive from him. After all, as I have said, he is a Hillary Clinton for President person by virtue of his political standing.

I was really shocked too. I don't know anything about that particular poster, but to post blatantly obscene pictures... I was dismayed. But it's taken care of now.

"The judge had indicated he couldn't do this without another trial. Certainly this could be proved somehow. Couldn't it?"
They would need the testimony of medical personnel at the hospital or hospice. I don't know if they could get it and even, if they could, wouldn't they need proof their statement is true.
At least the article is closer to the truth than many have been.

Please allow me to clarify something. I have referred to Felos as "Felos-the-Felon" -- it was a jab. To my knowledge, he is not a felon and could not hold a position in the Florida Bar if he were.
However, should Terri be starved to death it is my opinion that he, Schiavo, and the judge are all guilty of pre-meditated murder -- a felony offense.
I just really wanted to clarify that because I mean Felos no personal ill will or harm. There are crazies out there who feel that vengence is their mission from God. His word states just the opposite..."vengence is Mine, sayeth the Lord".

IMO, Felos sat on the Hospice Board for only one reason. To wait for the perfect patient to come along so he could he could benefit financially. Judge Greer used to be on Hospice's Board too. What if Judge Greer called Hospice to advise them he had a "hot" one, Felos quits Hospice so he can make a fortune and help Michael Schiavo get that feeding tube removed.
In the Tampa Tribune today, hubby Schiavo said "I have to take care of her. The Judge said so." What a sensitive guy.

Judge Lazzara gave Terri's attorneys ten days to in essence write a better memorandum. So, it wasn't a total loss for Terri. Of course, when the news first broke after the hearing, that critical piece of info was omitted.
All we saw was Felos on the courthouse steps doing his usual soundbite about Terri's wishes and "some group".
The only reason Terri's attorneys wrote a gunshot memo was because they were afraid Terri wasn't being treated and quickly wrote it to get it to the Judge. Understandable.
So, let's cross our fingers and pray for Terri's attorneys that their next pleading to Judge Lazzara is PERFECT!

Well stated, kimmie. Most of us know how your statements of frustration are intended. You are wise to recognize that, unfortunately, for some clarification is necessary.

post #727 #734 and #815 yours. Do any of these people lead to Hospice to Schiavo to Greer or Felos? I think Felos had an agenda, was waiting on the Board of Hospice for the "perfect case." Before he left Hospice, there appears to be an overlap with Schiavo hiring him. So, was that legit or was there a game plan that had to be laid out before Felos left Hospice?
Looks to me like Felos, Greer, Schiavo and the other lefty Judges so want this to happen. This is so ILLEGAL to date and UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
I got some literature in the mail from a Jewish organization. I am not Jewish but I left a voicemail with them this a.m. asking them to call Governor Bush. Who cares if he can do anything or not at our behest? Gov. Bush will have to answer to the media if he does nothing further.
You can email President Bush, Laura Bush, VP Cheney all from http://www.whitehouse.gov. EVERYONE, PLEASE VISIT THE WHITE HOUSE WEB SITE. Please stay positive and help us. We have to try. Thanks.

I looked at Trepanni and didn't see any names jump out at me. Was there a McMahon posted here earlier who's on the Hospice Board? Where does he work? I found the Directors of the Hospice of Suncoast Board a few days ago. McMahon I think was from TechData. Try his name linked with Hospice of Suncoast Pinellas.
Too bad we can't check out J. Greer's insider trades. lol

Hi Windchime, Thank you for your concern! I had a lot of appointments yesterday. Felt totally exhausted last night but I feel better today. The news is not good but there is still some time left. I still think Terri's only chance is through Jeb and the attorney general. After that, prayer and a miracle.
To: dixiegrrl
Looking the other way at Terri's case crosses party lines. Sheriff Rice is GOP. There was Scientology advertisement that fell out of my Tampa Tribune this morning. Guess that means they're reaching out to Tampa. It was an anti-medication and breathing guide. I still think that Felos is probably buddies with Scientology the way he is religious about his morning breathing exercises.
Felos can only do sound bites because he's nothing more than a huckster-salesman.

JUDGE GREER in an oversight position regarding the person and property of Terri Schiavo should NEVER have allowed those funds to pay for Michael Schiavo's legal battle. Michael Schiavo had carte blanche for legal representation while Terri was warehoused and didn't get any therapy or treatment that may have improved her condition.
"It lists all the different lawyers that represented Michael from the beginning." your post

Bilirakis the congressman and Felos are both Greek. They are probably pals and both Bilirakis is a Hospice Director right now. Felos was one before. THERE ARE SO MANY CONFLICTS OF INTEREST. No wonder no officials are helping Terri!
