Here's a little tidbit before I go off to dreamland tonight: Did you know?? The first American to jump off the boats at the D-Day invasion was James Arness of "Gunsmoke" fame. At 6'7", he was the tallest man on the first ship and the ship's captain wanted to test how deep the water was.
