Hey Cali! He may be RINO but this is as good as it gets. This is the best you deserve at this point in time. If you want to elect a Ronald Reagan type than build for it. But like I said, Arnold is the best man who is electable.

Just look at all the business leaders who've thrown in with him. They finally see a glimmer of hope to dig Cali out of the pit that Grey Davis and RATS have dug you into.

I am amazed at the greed of the McClintock camp. They cannot win. Everyone knows that. But they are going to make sure that Bustemante does. There is nothing "principled" about thier position. It is just childish greed, imo.

You got that right. He may be a rino, but I did admire his straightford talk today. He has earned my respect. He has got my vote. Wake up conservatives in California a conservative will never get elected in california. I sure as hell do not want bustemonte.

I heard Sean Hannity interviewing Arnold Schwarzenegger for twenty minutes, and then Sean played Johnny Donovan's one-minute condensation.

Arnold responded frankly and without equivocation. No wonder he's at 48%.

The more shrill his opponents of all stripe become, the more their numbers shrink.

A state with a large majority of Democrat voters, which elected and re-elected a Democrat governor (and lieutenant governor), two Democrat U.S. Senators, and a Democrat legislature is--for the first time in history--recalling its governor and electing a candidate who will fix the fiscal problems.

"Hey Cali! He may be RINO but this is as good as it gets. This is the best you deserve at this point in time. If you want to elect a Ronald Reagan type than build for it. But like I said, Arnold is the best man who is electable."

I think this is correct. I heard him on Hannity myself, and his answers to bullet point questions (which from Sean is a gift to begin with) were direct and to the point, and more topics were covered that were given here.

I cannot say they were nuanced, but he did not sound like a "buffalo shuffle" idiot or bs artist.

I would vote for him, he's against partial birth abortion, he distinguishes medical marijuanna from drug legalization, he is not an idiot and I think he is very serious about being governor and is reaching for the main chance. It would be ridiculously foolish to run this race on a campaign to end illegal immigration, ,or a re-run of prop 187 or anything else. It is the dem. gov't of cali that's ruining it, not the illegals. You all haven't been invaded by mexicans over the last 4 years (maybe the last 40, but that is another story), you've been plunged into a crisis by a corrupt, entirely self-interested, inept governor. Cruz Bustamante is not the answer, he is part (probably a very small part, in fact) of the problem.

Arnold can beat the dem, McClintock for all his non-disputed virtues cannot.

I agree with you that Arnold may be as good a choice as is electable right now (as a McClintock fan I say that with a heavy heart) -- but what on earth do you mean "This is the best you deserve at this point in time"?? Gee, thanks a whole bunch. Was that, uh, meant to be helpful in any way?

Have you seen the map of all the red counties that went for Simon? It geographically overwhelmed the blue areas, looking much like Bush's map. Unfortunately the people who take handouts in the blue cities (L.A. and S.F.) were numerically enough to get by.

You are precisely right.

In any case, it is shortsighted to consider only political philosophy Arnold brings a unique set of abilities that may actually fix the mess.

Moreover, CA is necessary for the clintons to retake the white house. . If Arnold does not win, the recall could very well be, with the splintering of the right, the opening round of '92 redux.

Think 'clinton 2' befote voting 'arnold-no.'
