What the ecusa leadership are NOT telling the press is that the conservative parishes generally have other means of supporting missions which do not involve having to give money to the heretics in senior leadership positions.

"In the meantime, Robison supporters can only hope that the will to give and grow is stronger than the desire to punish and destroy. -- Editor

What a joke, they destroy to get their way, then accuse the innocent of destruction if they support scriptures.

In the Old Testment, neither the lame or deformed were allowed to serve at the altar or enter the Holy of Holies of the Lord, not because God does not love the lame or deformed, but because a perfection of form and strict adherence to ceremony was required as a sign of the respect due a King and the bowing or handling of instruments could be a problem for the disabled. Now church leaders allow abomination to serve at the altar.

It is difficult to gauge the full extent of unhappiness in the nation's Episcopal dioceses resulting from this month's confirmation of the openly gay Rev. Gene Robinson as Bishop of New Hampshire.

Quite correct.

And the reason it is so difficult to gauge is that most of the media is ignoring the outrage felt by Episcopalians and many other people.

If they'd spend as much time getting the opinions of regular church-goers as they do printing verbatim the mouthings of the heretical hierarchy they would quickly learn how unhappy people are.

Does anyone know how donations to the congregations are divvied up?

What percentage stays in the local congregation and what is sent to the national organization?

And if someone knows or could point me to the scripture, bylaws or whatever is used as their point of authority I would appreciate that as well.

The Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas has stated quite clearly that he will not allow the blessing of same-sex unions in Texas. Further, he will not ordain or license any person living in a sexual relationship other than a sacramental marriage between man and a woman.
The man obviously takes God's Word seriously. I will stay the course and ride this storm out for now, but if it becomes clear that this abominable situation won't be resolved, then as much as it pains me to say it, I'll be a Lutheran, I guess, until they do something stupid.

"And the reason it is so difficult to gauge is that most of the media is ignoring the outrage felt by Episcopalians and many other people."

Think many of these people are just conservative/traditional and not used to 'bucking' Chruch hierarchy. They may be angered to the max; but they seem to be 'stuffing it'; waiting to see how the powers-that-be are handling this and what they will/can do to amend it.

They are going to have to have to find some serious self-determination in their anger.

Maybe we will hear more then.

"Steven Duggan, a former treasurer of the national church, told National Public Radio that this was nothing more high-minded than economic blackmail. He said the people that will be hurt will not be Episcopal church leaders, but those the church helps.
'When you starve the national church, you starve the church in Cuba, you starve the church in Navajo lands, you starve the church in El Salvador and Liberia. It's not going to change people's minds, it's not going to change the minds of those who voted in the general convention.'"

What a total pantload! When the conservatives break off from the screwballs, the conservatives will be loosing everything, including their churches! I can't believe this guy had the gall to say that!

There is also the THE ANGLICAN PROVINCE OF CHRIST THE KING. A nationwide congregation of churches that use the 1928 Prayer Book. Go to Google for more on "Christ the King".

A rector in Fort Worth Texas hurled the denomination's flag to the ground and walked upon it as he began his sermon.

Now there is an angry Episcopalian.

He told his congregation of some 500 that they could restrict their donations to ensure that the money they contribute goes only toward local ministry and community projects. He defends the move by saying if he did not create a way to bypass the national church, donations would stop altogether. But others charge he is directing the boycott to punish the national leadership for pursuing a course he personally opposed....Steven Duggan, a former treasurer of the national church, told National Public Radio that this was nothing more high-minded than economic blackmail. He said the people that will be hurt will not be Episcopal church leaders, but those the church helps. ... "When you starve the national church, you starve the church in Cuba, you starve the church in Navajo lands, you starve the church in El Salvador and Liberia. It's not going to change people's minds, it's not going to change the minds of those who voted in the general convention."

The sodomite faction knew full well that these things would happen if they confirmed a sodomite bishop. So they are the ones who don't care one bit about those struggling churches. Moreover, one must ask the merit of bringing sodomy to those struggling peoples instead of Christ.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if these new-style Episcoperverts mostly want to fund these Third World churches so they'd have a ready supply of young boys for clergy like their new sodomite bishop.

Yes, and you might also starve Planned Parenthood and the National Council of Churches. Personally, I think it's hight time starvation was reconsidered.

Pick your brand of Lutherans carefully. The ELCA isn't far behind the Episcopals.

Lutheran church launches study of homosexuality

" INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America voted Aug. 13 to begin a four-year study of the role of homosexuals in the church, including the appropriateness of ordaining homosexuals.

The ELCA presently does not ordain non-celibate homosexuals, but that policy has come under increasing criticism from homosexual advocates within the church.

The assembly endorsed the four-year study on an 899-115 vote. By a closer vote (596-409) the group asked for a plan that would lead to a decision by 2005 on the issue of ordaining homosexuals."
