I find it hard to relate to someone who didn't have at least some youthful indescretions, whether it was sex, drinking, smoking pot, whatever.

Citizens who have seen the error of their ways usually make the best leaders.

I didn't say that I had not gotten drunk or tipped over trash cans as a youth, but that's a far cry from the kind of depravity discussed in the above article.
