How ridiculous of freepers to say such things as if we are all a bunch of sexed up pot heads with no morals. I for one am sick to death of this kind of thing on FreeRepublic. Thank you. There are lots of decent people in California. The stereotypes out of staters project on us as a whole are ridiculous.

Unforetunately, the bandwagon for McC will not grow. The needed electorate will not turn out for him.Sabertooth says...Just understand how much you strengthen the Democrats by saying so.
The truth will do that? The Republican party must really be going down the shitter. I think not.
To: Sabertooth
Who outside of Orange county has even heard of McClintock?
The Dems are doing it again in California, dividing us and then conquering. In my opinion, Arnold is the ONLY electable candidate with an "(R)" in front of their name.
He may not be another Ronald Reagan, but he sure as hell beats the altenative.

Oh, I did not read that part. Yup, I guess that will help him also!
To: Sabertooth
Calling McClintock unelectable is simply stating a truth. He has lost both statewide races he has been in.

He was also a single man. If it is OK for a married president in the oval office to have oral sex with an employee, then this is a big, so what?

29 years old is a kid? That's how old he was in 1979!

Just understand how much you strengthen the Democrats by saying soI dunno, I'm extremely frustrated. No one I talk to in lalaland is excited about McC, and the 'dumbed down' electorate (friends of my kids, products of public edimakazion), and others are excited about AS. How does preaching that perceived reality hurt McC? It is intended as my view of the truth. I agree with D1, if McC numbers turn around, I will vote for him! That would take a seachange, however. These things happen, they always happen, the thing unforeseen. Again, in my perception, the AS supporters, for the most part, are leaving McC alone and attacking the rabid McC supporters instead. The continued heat and anger is making lots of folks come unglued. I'd like to see each candidate treated respectfully, but I intend to keep battling crap with dirt and dirt with crap.

Calling McClintock unelectable is simply stating a truth. He has lost both statewide races he has been in. Calling Ahnold a RINO scumbag is simply stating a truth. He is a liar and has no guiding principles or forward looking vision for this state.

Tom McClintocks numbers go down every time he gets on the radio to talk. He is boooring. He is Gore(R), stiff and uncomfortable.
He doesn't have the strength needed to rule a state. He can barely handle two fairly polite reporters, what would he do with screaming opponents?
Regardless of his message, which is good, (and which arnold is using a majority of) he is unwinnable and while it is definately his perogative to stay in the race, I won't be voting for Pero, I mean McClintock this time.
And now that Arnold is espousing a lot of McClintocks Ideas, why do you still oppose him? Because he won't crucify gays?
Do you even live in CA?

Those were conventional elections, this isn't; it's a recall and replacement election.
I understand the need to force a conventional analysis here, but I think it's far too early to do so.

Oh, I do see your point. How and ever, if AS did drop out, methinks that the California middle ground would move back to Davis and the recall would fail. A pretty good educated hunch, based on how Californians have voted since Clinton won the state in 1992.
