Win has the $$ to make the race competitive. I'm not clear on his abortion stance, I would presume (and very liberally presume) he's anti-partial birth, but I can say nothing beyond that with any assurance. Win could also make it competitive with African-American voters, reminding them that it was his dad who helped make them full-fledged citizens after a century of 'Rats/Jim Crow keeping them down. What's sad is that we seemed to be growing a nice farm team in the early to mid '90s in AR, but stagnation seems to be seeping in. Our inability to make breakthroughs in other statewide offices is troubling, and holding just the one federal office (down from 3 in '00), the very same one we've held since John Paul Hammerschmidt's breakthrough in '66 is also a supreme disappointment. We technically could hold all 4 House seats if we wanted to, but our candidates haven't been of particularly good quality in awhile. Huckabee's approval ratings haven't slipped that much, and he really ought to be running for the Senate seat.

I've always wondered why the GOP couldn't seem to crack 2 in the AR congressional delegation (or why it's down to 1 now)
