the justice has already ruled in favor of republicans this week on other issues dealing with this. I doubt you can run out this clock.

Someone should sue the 11 in civil court for the added costs of the special sessions. These costs would not be necessary if these lawmakers were fulfilling their duty.

It would be quite interesting to see the Governor promise the 72 hour notice, see them come home, and see them all served warrants. Especially if charges could be filed that would force them to show that they are not a flight risk, or remain in the area.

Depends upon when all this gets settled.... The dates for filing by candidates, primary elections, run offs, general are set by law..... If this thing drags out long enough that a new plan can't be submitted to the Feds for minority voting rights approval plus various lawsuits that will be filed most likely then redistricting will have to be delayed until the next cycle, 2006.
