Maybe this is the rule of law and the marker should be removed...but that doesn't explain why I feel badly about it. Why is it that we Americans have to kow-tow to people who come from foreign countries who tell US they are bothered by OUR religious beliefs and symbols and that WE have to refrain or remove our symbols while THEY get to practice their religion in front of OUR face? What's next? Our currency?

Who are these people from foreign countries that supposedly forced the removal of the monument? And which foreign religion is being practiced in front of your face now that the monument has been moved from the lobby of the Alabama state courthouse?

Yep. Don't those American-born "furriners" (Muslims, Buddhists, atheists) know their place?

Those darkies ought to shut their mouths, shouldn't they?

There are plenty of people who are born here who aren't Christian. And there's quite a bit of difference between simply practing your religion and consecrating government poperty to it.

THE RULE OF LAW is a new term that has no real meaning, it was started to circumvent the Constitution and use new laws to establish WHATEVER they wanted to establish, see quote below:

"But overlooked in much of the dialogue about the rule of law is that the term has no fixed meaning. It originated in normative writings on law and government, principally by Western authors, and each tailored the term to fit his or her vision of the "ideal" or "just" state. As a consequence, one recent survey of how the term has been used in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States concludes that it "belongs to the category of open-ended concepts which are subject to permanent debate" (Grote 1999: 271).

Most people have no clue that this term was created "to justify" whatever the ACLU or other Liberal groups want it to justify!

Actually, no, it is NOT the rule of law. The Constitution is very specific that the Congress SHALL MAKE NO LAW regarding the establishment of a religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof! The court has usurped the authority of the Constitution and is creating law which it has NO authority to do.

"Why is it that we Americans have to kow-tow to people who come from foreign countries who tell US they are bothered by OUR religious beliefs and symbols and that WE have to refrain or remove our symbols while THEY get to practice their religion in front of OUR face?"

Well, I'm sure if you went to Iran or Saudi Arabia or one of those meccas of religious "tolerance" that the nice Muslims whould be very accommodating if you told them their religious symbols offended you.< /sarcasm >
