Hurrah for Arnold. But is it breaking news every time Arnold hires an adviser to his campaign? He has Schultz, Buffett, Rob Lowe, Jaime Escalante, yada, yada, yada.

I am sure that when he hires his tube sock czar, and his adviser for pencil sharpener maintenance we will get in breaking news as well.

I am not bashing Arnold here. I most likely will vote for him. But McClintock is not getting a fair shake. Arnold, the celebrity, is meaninglessly attaching other "celebrities" to his campaign, and getting massive news coverage, as well as breaking news posts here, for really doing nothing. He has not given one solid proposal on how he is going to do anything, less you consider his audit idea an actual plan.

Arnold or Cruz most likely will win, so if McClintock is dead in the water near the end, Arnold will have my vote. But, for a guy who has never held office, and hasn't come up with a plan to do anything, and is a Kennedy, aren't we getting a wee bit too much starstruck here?

President Bush and virtually the entire GOP establishment --including the most conservative -- have endorsed Arnold, so that's good enough for me.

Rob Lowe

I don't believe Rob Lowe has been appointed to anything.

But McClintock is not getting a fair shake.

You do not seriously expect a real Republican to get a fair shake from the California media do you?

The wiser move for McClintock would be to get on board the Arnie wagon and strike a deal to be a key member of his staff, such as Chief of Staff. Let Arnie be the front guy, while McClintock takes care of what he knows best - the political inner workings.

If Arnies term as Gov. is succesful, they both win. if not then McClintock will not be seen as the bad guy, although they may try to portray him as such.

Well, this particular guy is the real deal. If he can be given real power and influence in education reform, heads will roll at the LAUSD - and quite rightly, too!

And I agree entirely with Paladinkc - this is indeed the Bush playbook. Remember, they're friends.

He is NOT a Kennedy. I get so angry when people say that. He is the anti-Kennedy.

No. And I started in the what are you thinking of catagory.

I've heard more from McClintock than Arnold in the last few weeks, and I'm becoming disallusioned by McClintock more and more. On paper, he sounds good, in real life, he is being churlish.

Host: So McClintock, how does it make you feel that Arnold is mouthing all of the things that you came up with?

McClintock: (some immemorable drab thing that basically meant, nah nah, he is using my ideas, and I want the change to come, it's not important who gets credit for it, but he can't do it because of the liberal legislature, but I can)

I was waiting for the host to say HOW? but he didn't.

I did NOT jump on Arnolds band wagon immediately.... but I've been listening to him in the past few weeks, and while I am still scratching my head over the Rob Lowe appointment (although he DID get fired from West Wing for admiring W) I am liking how these things are coming together.

Yeah, Buffet is a socialist, but he is also a financial genius. It's possible to take one without the other. The schools need to be reformed immediately and this would be perfect.
