Schwarzenegger is more of a small-government Republican, while McClintock seems to buy into the big-government agenda of regulating private lives. McClintock's not as bad as some, but he does seem more inclined than Schwarzenegger to have government intrude in areas that it should stay out of.

Although McClintock may favor laws that "regulate private lives" in some sense, like those restricting abortion, more than does Schwarzenegger, I question your assessment of Schwarzenegger (who is my preferred candidate, actually, at this point) as someone who'd have a smaller government overall than would McClintock. McClintock is tighter than Joan Rivers' (remaining) facial skin.

Do you have some particular information to back up this comment? I ask because I see him just the opposite. For instance, he's very 2nd Amendment and unlike Arnold, hasn't called for taxpayer funds to pay for entertaining other people's children (Prop 49).
