"kaffirs"???
I thought only South African Boers used that pejorative term, and then only in reference to blacks, indians, and asians. Were you simply drawing a paralell between mindsets, or do the palis actually call Israelis "kaffirs"?

Well, that settles it: France must be compelled to send battalions of "human shields" to Israel to defend Israeli civilian assets such as buses, schools, settlements...

Yes, inherant in moral clarity is a clear cut position, that requires a commitment, difficult for cousins.

We should have been much more circumspect and contemplative before we just went off half-cocked and invaded Normandy June 6, 1944. Could we really call the Nazi Party a terrorist organization. Once the threat to Great Britain was over, we could have just sent in inspectors. We really need to stop being so judgemental all the time.

Don't the Israelis have an airplane called the Kfir? Does that have a different etymology, or do the Israelis just have a wicked sense of humor?

Ah. Looked it up on FAS and they say it means "lion cub." They don't say what language.

"If we find that Hamas and Islamic Jihad are indeed terror groups opposed to peace, we may have to change the EU's stand. However, we must not limit ourselves to one, clear cut, position." – Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, Advisor to French President Jacques Chirac (August 25, 2003)

Un-FREAKING-believable. O.K., throw out the issue of terrorism (mass murder) for the moment. Don't even consider it. Both organizations are explicitly committed to a single state solution. There is not a single doubt they are opposed to the peace process, which is based on a two state solution.

Now consider the terrorism. Both organizations are in competition with each other, and with Fatah, in this regard. It is a point of pride to rack up the most murders, and to claim responsibility for the most bloody and barbaric attacks on innocents.

Only a frog, a fascist or a hard-leftist (pardon the redundancy) could ignore all this.

These people believe in the armed struggle of the the Palestinians against the racist Zionists and their American imperialist backers. They don't think the orgy of baby killing constitutes terrorism, they think it is justified. Not sure if this is stupid or just plain evil.

Be sure!

Just plain evil.

Not that it matters.

Much much much much much more evil is done by accident than by Stalins, Maos, Madhatirs and Hitlers.

Blessings -- Brian

If we find that Hamas and Islamic Jihad are indeed terror groups....(a terrorist activity is an act which "intentionally intends to destabilise or destroy the fundamental political, constitutional, economic and social structures of a country.")........ Interesting. That's precisely what the EU has been doing to the United Kingdom for almost thirty years.
