IRON MIKE TYSON SIGNS WITH K1
Former Heavyweight boxing champion Iron Mike Tyson has officially signed with the K-1 organization for exclusive management and rights of refusal for Japan.
Mike Tyson may still compete in America, but can only fight in Japan in the K-1 organization.
No word on when, where or against whom he will first compete.
Sources inform Knockouts! that he could compete under boxing rules, kickboxing K1 rules, or even mixed martial arts.

The company only has the Japanese rights, so essentially he probably cant fight for a boxing title in Japan

Did you see that KI guy on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Ben Affleck? He was HUGE! (I think he used to play ball for the Atlanta Falcons)
To: Ronin
Bob Sapp--I dont care if I was Lennox Lewis, I wouldnt want to see him under non-boxing rules!

Is toe biting allowable?
To: Focault's Pendulum
Trust me, you don't want to bite Bob Sapp's toe.
To: prarie earth
He commands 20 mil a fight in the US. Who the heck is managing him? Ali tried something like this and it was a disaster.
More than likely, the matches won't be totally above board. The extreme fighting guys have everything (fame,$) in the world to gain by hurting Tyson permanently. His only motivation is to avoid injury.

No way Tyson fights any of these guys except like Ali did in a straight up boxing exhibition.

I don't think so....Mike has been training for mixed fights & Bob Sapp cannot take a Tyson punch (if Tyson comes in prepared).

Shamrock still fighting?
Anyway, Tyson is going to get his ass kicked in K1. Very dumb move.
To: dogbrain
Cause Sapp is 350 lbs of solid muscle?
To: feinswinesuksass
Straight up in a boxing style match, Sapp could last 5 rounds..eventually Mike would get him
To: prarie earth
Heck with kickboxing . . . I wanna see him in a knife fight with some squirrel on speed.
To: LibWhacker
Thats pretty much what this venture is going to look like..
