Something along these lines needs to be said. That's why it's called the service.

I'm lucky. I'm whole. Yet, there are several health aspects I could probably pin on my military, and particularly my Vietnam service. Personally I feel however, that my country doesn't owe me a damned thing.

...Except my Constitutional Rights.

Note that the only country he named when speaking of those who thirst for freedom in the Middle East was Iran...not to subtle;)

I am with you 100%! I am around AF people all the time and I never hear the complaints I see on here. A lot of spin going on here recently!

The man did have fire in his eyes. The gloves are off! Have been working out in the garage getting boxes repacked in plastic containers and am I glad I decided to take a break. Would have hated to miss this speech!

The President has a lot on his plate and with the constant attacking of the RAT candidates along with the Clintons and their media, has to be nervewracking to say the least.

He seemed like he was disgusted that he had to be pointing some of these things out. Don't blame him because I think what the DemocRATs have been doing to attack on national security is beneath contempt!

Oh, Doug. What is one to do when one has spent his adult life IN SERVICE? Are you career? The promise was there. There's no sucking of the gov teat going on.

He has a lot on his plate, that's for sure and he is ever in my prayers. Must have been a thrill to meet him! I met him 4 times when he was running and had a 3-4 minute conversation alone with him; it was a thrill and a half. Met his wife for about 10 minutes in a group of about 6 or 8 of us and she's the most serene person I've ever met. Very impressed with both of them and thank goodness we have a president we can trust and respect.

Look how you people sound. You want everything CUT but your uncle hand out. Cut the budget every way except your money. Well, this is what everyone group says and every group wants what they can get from seniors to vets to illegals etc.. I'm a disabled vet myself with full coverage but I'll work to pay my own way !

Your service notwithstanding, you're wrong. Medical care is not a freebie or a handout...it's pay for a job done.

The most salient point I've seen made regarding that bombing.

It's also interesting that Palestinian funds have finally been cut off, naming Hamas a terrorist organization, etc.

The French are terrified of the Muslim population they allowed to gain strength in their own country and now make fools of themselves trying to cater to all terrorists all the time. So many of these countries are taking a page out of the Clinton low-rent Mafia handbook; offering protection and promises.

President Bush DOES look different. Puffy, bags under eyes. Many sleepless nights I think.

He's been in Texas for a month. It's probably allergies.

If we do not keep our promises to our soldiers, who have sacrificed everything to defend us, I will be horribly disillusioned and disappointed.

Bush will always keep the promisies he makes. It is the democrats in the Senate that are againts our veterans and soldiers of today.

BTW do ya'll know that clintoon used marines as servants in the white house? True. Clinton=POS

I know. But #25 does say something.

Its got to be there for those who really need it. Though I'd be more likely to take into the private sector, If I could.

I've got a rather enlarged aorta which my doc suspects might somehow be linked to Vietnam service. I'll be damned though, that I'd ever take it to the VA.

Everything Good, though, to You and Yours.

Yes, I knew that from some book about how Clinton used the Marines. Disgraceful.

I agree - I will be shocked beyond belief if this administration does not live up to its commitments to our beloved soldiers.

The French have just made themselves even more irrelevant than the UN

And to the USA as well.

I think that French heat-wave is just Satan saying howdy to the French terrorist lovers.
