Prayer request for Sara Grace (a preemie)

I would like to ask all of you to pray for my friend, Marijon's granddaughter. Her name is Sara Grace. She was born on June 6, 2003, 3 months early. She weighed 1 pound 6 ounces at birth. She has been in neonatal ICU since that time. At 2 weeks of age, she had to have a colostomy for perforated bowel. As you can imagine, she has had ups and downs, but as of last week was weighing a whopping 4 pounds! Last Thursday, they did surgery on her to re-connect her colostomy. On Sunday, she developed an infection, and on Monday her heart stopped beating, and she stopped breathing. They got her heart beating again, and she is now on a vent. The doctors say they think it was the infection that caused her heart to stop, but thus far, they have not been able able to determine the type of infection, although they know it's bacterial. She is on two different kinds of antibiotics, and today, 24 hours later, she is trying to breathe on her own, and they are trying to wean her off the vent. The doctors say the next 24 hours will be most critical. I would appreciate the prayers of all you prayer warriors for this precious little girl.

Loved reading your mother's heart in the story of your ston. I was preemie and 4 lbs at birth myself. Your son and I are fighters! Now I'm praying that Sara Grace has that same feisty spunk!

These little ones, by God's Grace and Power, can be amazing. I had twin boys born at 23/24 weeks, Aaron weighed 1 lb 4 ozs and Ryan weighed 15.5 ozs. Aaron went home after a five day fight and is with the Lord, Ryan is an active 4 (almost 5) year old in pre-K. He has had little side effect from being born so early and the fight he had. The docs gave him no chance to survive, and to date, he is the smallest survivor here in the Austin area since. God is an AWESOME God.

WAY COOL ....congrats, mom! Take it from one whose son is now "legal age" and so grown up - it's gone in an instant so don't take your eyes off of him for long. And no sooner did my son grow up, but his sister just became a teenager this month. Shakin' my head.....

I may not always post, but whenever I see these posts on "My Comments" I send up a prayer.
And the list is on my list when I pray at other times.

[BTW,
Some of us are praying for the President and our country each night at 9 PM, wherever we are.(I don't know who started it, but I was told about it months ago by some one on Yahoo's "Berean Spirit" months ago). I have one of those nasty watches you can set to go off at a certain time each day, so if you hear a beeping, it might be my prayer time.]
