- Actually, you proved my point, that is,that there is no actual statistics that show beyond a shadow of a doubt that the problem of molestation is only in one venue. I don't actually take too much stock in a news story, I tend to, if it interests me, to do some research of my own.

Since this point is an age old debate, I'll just agree to disagree, and move on. I accept all religions and fully support them in thier efforts, and I'm not about to go into this one.

PREPOSTEROUS and totally unfounded. I ABSOLUTELY KNOW that the majority of priests are god fearing and humble men that contribute greatly to thier faith and thier flocks. How can I pretend good priests don't exist, I never implied that all Catholics were bad, never. I embrace all religions equally, and I do understand that with good there will always be bad. My assertion was that, if the rising problem isn't fixed, and quickly, the message will not carry much weight, which I really do not want to see happen, but could quite be a reality.

You have to understand that if a priest or small group of them are committing such horrible acts, it will and has shaken the faith of those people that they were supposed to lead. What happens then?
