TSK, TSK, don't attack the messenger. It seems to me that you are trying to censor here. The excerpt was not graphic, the story was. So, there's no reason to get upset here. That's why there was a link to the actual article, so as not to offend.

ME....trying to censor? HUH?? I would just like to read the article WITHOUT going through some commercial bullcrap on an unknown website. How hard is THAT? Prarie earth was the censor here, deciding that it was TOO graphic to post.

Pay attention, please.

Nope, Eggs is trying to preserve. Every one of these threads goes into the FR archives, and when the story is taken down from where it's currently hosted (and that will happen relatively soon), all this thread will have, forever, is the excerpt.

The archives are a wonderful resource, mainly because the entire article and discussion are on one page, complete and in context. Spend a little time there and you'll realize how frustrating it is to pull up excerpted threads from as recently as six months ago and find that the links don't work anymore.

So if it's not on the excerpt-only list (and you'll get a window message now if you try to post from one of those), please think of posterity and post the full text...
