Up until now the story was that Laci had no idea that SP had bought a boat. He was going to surprise her with it on Christmas, isn't that what he told Diane Sawyer?

The drug stuff makes about as much sense as anything else he's done, so it could be true.

Yes, the boat comment surprised me too. I was under the same understanding on that issue as you are. I can believe that Laci maybe had some concerns about his spending but I still DO NOT believe she knew about the boat. I even recall her family making a comment that the boat was news to them.

I do wonder who the "family friend" is in this instance. We'll find out soon enough, I suppose.

The drug stuff might go a long way towards explaining that other, more secret, storage warehouse that Scott rented. And the mailbox he'd gotten, too.
